Mary Lynn Lewark: Artistic Director, Contemporary Modern Ballet, Creative Movement, Student Ensemble, Moovment Classes, b&w + bone

Mary Lynn Lewark is a dance artist, choreographer, movement healer, yoga teacher, educator and mother. She has created Moovment House in Denver, CO, that is home to her work and companies. Here she has inspired dancers and people to develop their singular and collaborative voices in performances, workshops and everyday lives. Her authentic movement process is simple, direct, and communal, allowing a person to freely connect to their innate desire to move with their personal story.

Mary Lynn travels to Tel Aviv/NY/LA/Barcelona for intensive study of Gaga Movement Language with members of world renowned Batsheva Dance Company and creator Ohad Naharin.  She has recently opened her practice as an Ilan Lev Practitioner .

She enjoys playing muse and making collaborations of all kinds, bringing together artists, educators, healers, photographers, musicians, actors, dancers and human beings making evocative work and stories to be shared.

“I am interested in making my artistic process simple and available for learning, creating, connecting and healing. My skills and curiosity help me to be malleable moving in and out of leading, supporting and helping.  It excites me to lead my own process as much as it does to embody, shape, shift the vision and dreams of another. I am exceptional at delivering content to any audience no matter who I am in the process. My dream is to connect and create with others, giving voice to each, and entwining them into our collective human story. I would love to hear from you. Please contact me here for more information. ”

Sharon Wahlfeld: Yoga

Clearing stress and worry through breath, movement and sweat – that’s how I fell in love with the practice of yoga! While working as a kitchen designer in the 1990s, my type-A personality, desire to be perfect, and perceived need to exceed every client’s expectations every time kept me pretty high strung. When I discovered hot yoga, I was hooked. Without fail, at the end of class my body was completely relaxed and my mind was clear! It was exactly what I needed at that time of my life. Years of hot yoga practice led to my first yoga teacher training at the Denver Institute of Yoga in 2007. Since 2008 I have been teaching group classes as well as individual yoga sessions. On the path of yoga and continuous learning I have completed certified trainings in Vital Roots through Vital Yoga, Relax and Renew Restorative Yoga L1 & L2 with Judith Lasater, Yoga Nidra L1 with Jeremy Wolf, and Yin Yoga L1/L2 with Kari Kwinn. My relationship to yoga, my students, and myself significantly shifted through my study of Yoga Therapy with Hansa at Prana Yoga and Ayurveda Mandala in Denver, CO. Hansa helped me understand that we are all on a journey of self-discovery, increasing our awareness and understanding of our True Self. I am honored to be a Teacher’s Assistant for Prana Yoga’s 265 hour Contemplative Yoga Teacher Training.

I am abundantly grateful for the practice of yoga and the opportunity to teach. I hope you will join me to experience for yourself the many benefits of yoga!
See you “on the mat”.
