Virtual Summer Dance Camp 2020

We will be joining forces with super talented Alicia Roo Parker and her Play School at Home Summer Program to share our resources as teachers and to spread wide the amazing teen dance campers we know the children truly love in our dance camp. This will allow us to give our camp dancers more one on one time too.Summer Camp Offerings are open to children 4-11 years old, options for teens to apply for our Teen Dance Leadership Program.Each day will consist of morning circle, stories, dance, creation time with counselors and lunch time storytelling. At the end of each two weeks camps will culminate in an innovative performance.Campers will pick-up a mystery box at the top of teach week that will delight, entice, inspire and support the journey inside our camps. The two week camps will be a beautiful merging of imagination, storytelling, puppetry, dance, painting, creating, empathy learning and community building. Of course, our BTB Summer Camp Teen Dance Interns will be working alongside us providing the rich connections and fun that happens when the big kids come to camp too.

There are animals from long ago, and twice as far away. Their maps are made of starlight and can’t be seen by day. These creatures are the reason, dreamers get where dreamers go. Dreamland is too far to run and sleepy feet, too slow. Whatever dream you visit when night replaces day, your furred or dinned or feathered friend will surely the way. Special lunchtime visits from our eccentric characters of the Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe for inspiration and storytelling.

OLD POSSUM’S BOOK OF PRACTICAL CATS – July 6-17 9:00am-1:00pm – $400

Are you blind when you’re born? Can you see in the dark? Dare you look at a King, would you sit on this throne? Can you dive through the air like a flying trapeze? Can you turn double somersaults, bounce on a tire? Join us in a cat-ness mix of rhythm and poetry with mischievous play of dance invention and fur, and the ever elusive search for What’s a Jellicle Cat?…. Special lunchtime visits from the cats of Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats for inspiration and storytelling.
